Students at London’s Imperical College have developed a surgical knife that can detect cancer within seconds. They call it the iKnife that stands for “Intelligent Knife.” The wand like device can detect where the cancerous tissue lies in the body and whether it has been removed or not. Zoltan Takats is the key brain behind the device. He says that the iKnife will pace up cancer surgeries and will make it more effective and efficient.
See the picture below? Would you believe me when I say it’s a cake? No you won’t. But trust me, it is. The amazingly detailed AT-AT cake is a creation by ChrisTheCook of Cake Central. It’s a two foot tall groom’s cake that looks just like an original AT-AT Walker from the Star Wars. Talking about details, the cake stands on snow, giving it a Planet Hoth-like look.

Two PhD students, John Hardy and Carl Ellis of Lancaster University have made this possible by creating a technology that can transform any object into a tablet computer. Institute of Optics and Electronics has developed a 100MP camera that can capture 10,240 x 10,240 resolution images through its square-format sensor. The work was done under Chinese Academy of Sciences and right now it’s the highest pixel camera in China. The IOE3-Kanban camera, as it is known, is actually very small in size measuring just 7.6” and is lightweight too.
