Life size Tachikoma robot can carry you in its womb and show you the world around

Japanese are known for their genius work. Amalgamating their genius minds with a popular fiction called Magna, this time they created a life- sized Tachikoma robot that can actually move while carrying a person inside. Four legs of the robot feature one wheel each and the movement is controlled by a joystick.

Tachikoma- Ghost in a Shell robot is shaped as a cocoon that signifies a spider. There is a spherical cockpit inside the cocoon that displays external environment to the rider. A camera attached to outer body of the robot captures the surroundings and also provides live feed to the person sitting inside.

It has a seating capacity for single average sized individual and can carry around 60Kgs of weight. Not much detail about the production process has been unveiled but you can take a look at the video below to see the functionality.
